With a double combination adjustable bed from Theraposture, you can also choose the width and the length of your bed because it’s made to order.

So either on the partner half or on the main bed users half you have a choice of 2ft 6″ or 3ft wide, so you can have two x 3fts, two x 2ft 6″ or one of each.

In terms of the length of the bed, again these beds are made to order so the minimum length overall would be 6ft, but we can actually make these beds up to 7.5ft long, so we can pretty much cater for whatever is needed.

The Rotoflex rotating bed has electronic adjustment in a number of ways and all of these movements come together to deliver a complete and safe solution to help people get in and out of bed on their own terms.

The functions include:

  • Rotation – which means you can rotate from a chair to a bed position and vice versa
  • Height Adjustment – where the whole bed goes up and down in the air to help caregivers, and also to enable someone to stand up when they’re leaving the bed
  • Profiling – so whilst you’re in bed you can adjust your position to get comfortable and to lift your legs up.

The Rotoflex from Theraposture is the ONLY rotating bed that can be supplied with an electrically operated patented Rising Foot Section, to ensure that the calf and foot are properly supported when elevated.

Without this rising foot section on the rotating bed there will be pressure points on the lower legs and as the ankles will be below the knee this will not aid fluid circulation.

In our Occupational Therapists’ professional opinion a rising foot section is a must for a rotating bed, and this patented Rising Foot Section development is only available from Theraposture.

1. The way the mattress is held onto the bed
2. The rising foot section, which comes up to join the elevated mattress so the whole leg is supported.

The other main difference is the vertical rise which does not tip you forward and is particularly important for user safety when getting out of bed.
