Kidz to Adultz Wales to feature popular Theraposture rapid delivery care cot packages

Care cot demonstrations
Commonly, following a hospital discharge or when a disabled child is at risk, it can take several weeks or even months to receive an appropriate care cot. This leaves families with an unavoidable scenario that is unsafe for everyone concerned and unacceptable for supporting Occupational Therapists. To resolve this ongoing problem so a positive outcome is achieved quicker, Theraposture provides a choice of two Mascot packages that can be installed within two weeks – two example cots will be available at the Kidz exhibition.
Mascot cot
The Mascot is the only fully modular, adjustable care cot with a flexible design that can be adapted to meet changing user needs. It provides electrically powered variable height, mattress profiling and Trendelenburg/anti-Trendelenburg positioning for user comfort and safety. Within its rapid delivery scheme, Theraposture can provide Mascot with either 60cm or 98cm high doors so varying care requirements can be met.
Each is supplied with a specialist mattress and full-height safety padding that includes soft windows for visual access. Neutral padding colours are ideal for re-issue and each cot fully complies with safety standards BSEN60601-2-52 and BSEN50637.
Theraposture Trusted Assessors will be on hand throughout the show to demonstrate the Mascot and provide free information on the rapid delivery service.
Timmy Cot
Theraposture will also be showcasing its Timmy care cot on stand E10. The powered Timmy is a specialist cot for more complex needs especially suited for children who are unable to sit up on their own. Available in a range of sizes, its design is compatible with feeding and breathing equipment and all cot sides drop-down for 360-degree access.
The hi-lo sleeping platform ensures carers can provide personal care at safe working heights without the risk of back injury. As with all cots from Theraposture, it is supplied with a 14-day suitability guarantee and 3-year warranty.
